The next issue of Sea of Thieves developer diaries was released. In it, in addition to a brief description of the next Halloween adventure from the rookies, told about the next major content update Shrouded Spoils.

First, the update will expand ship customization. You will be able to buy and install skins on the cannons, helm, and bushplit (spire).

Secondly, a new weather effect will be added – fog. Periodically, the whole map will be covered by a thick fog, which will greatly reduce the view, both ashore and at sea. The fog will be thick near the water and more sparse at altitude, so that you will have to use the crow’s nest to navigate much more often.

Thirdly, the long-awaited achievements and challenges for the legendary pirates will be added. They will be in the tab Reputation – Treasures of Athena. There is speculation that everyone’s counters will be at zero and even pirates with the tenth Athena will have to perform them from the beginning.

And that’s not all there will be in the Shrouded Spoils add-on. The developers have promised to release a couple of teasers update in the near future, where they will clearly show all of the above, as well as many other innovations that players have long been asking for.

The last thing talked about in the developer diaries is the streaming . It will be held on YouTube, Twitch and mixer. That’s when the developers will reveal the game’s development plans for the next few months.

The exact release date of Shrouded Spoils for Sea Of Thieves has not yet been announced, but the update will definitely be released in November. In addition, in testing the update will be able to take part and ordinary players are not only members of the pioneer program.
